From time to time I like to work on fonts and typography. As simple as this looks this was a bit of a challenge.
Using gradients and outlines over outlines can be a bit tedious. So I came up with this cool
“The Vickipages Show” graphic. Took me about 45-60 mins.

So today marks the anniversary of my Aunt Rena’s passing. Sweet, Gentle and Unconditional were the words that best described her. Tonight I made this post to remind my viewers to be glad for who you have. Friends Loved ones and foes. Life is a remarkable journey. We each are placed in each others paths of life for a reason. Learning from mistakes and accomplishments are what make us grow into the people we are today. So remember be thankful for who take part in your path, for you never know when you will see them again.
So tonight I share this memory with you of my Aunt Rena.
It was a cold December during 1998. I recall the date was the 22nd. And Renas just finished shopping for a gift for me. I remember it clearly as she stepped in my room. And it was a gift in wrapping the size of a CD case. I shook it well to hear what was in the wrapping. With excitement I ripped open the wrap and there it was. The CD I had been begging for. DMX: Flesh of my Flesh. She then spoke to me and said.
“I wasn’t to sure if this CD was right for you…but whatever you do… don’t tell your mom i got this for you.”
I yelled “THANKS RENA!”
Then she said.
“I heard it has tons of curses so please dont let me catch you repeating them”
And with so much energy I jumped up and gave her the biggest hug. Till this day my mom doesnt know!
I love you Rena. Whenever Im feeling down I listen to this song and it reminds me of you…
So being in the waiting room can really suck sometimes. So I guess this is what I do when I wait..
I just started doing these abstract shapes on the left. I will be starting these new series of paintings and illustrations based on these shapes. Lets see how they come out!
